The puke wagon and other tales from Friday night

I just realized I haven't posted since Tuesday! I'm such a naughty monkey! So now that I need to study for two tests next week it only makes sense that I would blog instead. Because that's sure to get me an A.

So one of my old work buds, Eric, celebrated his 32nd birthday this weekend. We um, well, er celebrated (my vocabulary is obviously wide) at a dueling piano bar. It was an interesting night and for all intents and purposes, my car shall now be known as 'the puke wagon' because for the past two Friday's the passenger of my vehicle has lost their lunch...or I guess dinner. Along with what was surely an expensive array of drinks. But I digress.

So obviously Eric had some fun. We all bought his shots and made sure it was a night to remember. I captured a few pics from the evening. After I took one of Eric a guy came up to me and let me know that I had just taken his picture as well....oooookay....and? Well, apparently he also made a funny face. He said he likes to do that in the background in other people's pictures. Hmmmm, okay, he was pretty darn cute and tall so I continued the conversation. We ended up talking all night. He was younger than me by a few years (and once again I revealed my age when asked...why do I do that?). Anywho....he was an Engineer, worked at a good company, had a house not too far from me. I was totally getting the vibe that he was into me. I tried to bring a few other people into the conversation but he was talking just to me. Alright...good stuff. As we were tending to Eric in the bathroom while he was barfing, the guy waited outside for me...we continues to talk. All.freakin.night. Soooo, since I was the DD for the drunk birthday boy and he was obviously ready to hit the bricks I went up to Picture boy and told his I was going to have to leave. And I lingered. And he said it was nice meeting me and gave me a lengthy hug. And I lingered. Sigh...then I walked out the door. Yup, that's right, Picture Boy didn't ask for the digits. after talking all.freakin.night. BUT! On the upside, I think it years past I would have suggested he give me a call sometime only to be disappointed later when he didn't. But like I said a few posts ago, a guy is going to have to be aggressive, a mans man if you will for me to be interested. And if you don't have balls enough to ask for my number then I don't wantcha anyway. I just imagine our future life where I help you tie your apron around your waist and hold your hand while you birth our child. Because obviously you'll be the woman in the relationship. So my point is, I'm proud of myself for sticking to my guns...so there.

So here are some pics from the evening.
The party boy taking a jager bomb I bought him. I had already downed mine and was STILL able to snap this picture. Man, I drank him under the table.

Ugh....back to studying...I think I'd rather clean up a pukey car.

If you were on eHarmony...

...and one of the 'canned' questions you were asked was "What do you find physically attractive?" and you were looking at MY picture, would you answer with the following?

This is a tough question. Attraction seems so intuitive. It's something you feel like chemistry, but hard to identify specifically. But after some careful research, I narrowed my list of qualities to a couple archetypes of women that I find attractive. Classic, glamorous beauties: I am attracted to elegant tall and well dressed classic beauties. If they have a sexy foreign accent, that's a plus. The all American girl next door: She is a natural and care free beauty who looks amazing in jeans and a t-shirt and a easy smile that lights rooms. A southern accent would be a big plus. In general, I have a weakness for blonds with pretty eyes who are athletic.

ummmmm....let's see....blond? nope....pretty eyes? not so much...athletic? yeah...nobody's going to accuse me of having an athletic build. Unless by athletic build they mean an athlete that's gone into retirement and ate kinda a lot of chocolate.

And you initiated conversation with me beeeecaaauuuse?
If nothing, eHarmony makes me laugh and gives me good fodder for this blog. Which is why I'm still looking at it...so there. I'm still not committing to being off of my hiatus in case you were wondering.

Any questions?

So that two-hour aerobics/weights class?

Yeah...so I'm basically incapacitated today. If I sit for more than 2.5 seconds by muscles seize up and become 3 times shorter that normal, forcing me to walk like an 90 year old grandma. Every single muscle in my body hurts. It hurts to take a deep breath. So I am walking like a grandma and breathing like an emphysema patient (shallowly). I can only hope I run into hot guy in this condition. Because as if I'm not already repelling men at an alarming rate with my allusion to them being caterers, now I have this to add to my repertoire.

Oh, and Happy Easter! You'll be happy to know that my arm is still able to toss Cadbury mini eggs in my mouth with little to no pain as long as I only move at the elbow. No pain, no gain I say...or in this case, no pain, my ass gets ginormous. Whatever. Add it to the list.
BTW, totally cute cartoons here: http://www.everydaypeoplecartoons.com/

On my walk today...

Just an FYI

Sooooo, if you've spent the previous night downing waaaaaaaay too many jager bombs and even more vodka and sprites, you would think that the surefire way to cure the hangover would be some greasy food and lots of sleep. Au contraire my little pretties, apparently the best cure for a hangover is a TWO HOUR workout. I'm not even joking. I had told my friends I would do the class with them last week. It was at 10:00 am this morning. Holy Jesus Mary and Joseph...this as a one time thing at our gym, a combination of three classes and three different instructors. It was only supposed to be an hour and a half, but obviously the instructors don't know how to keep time.

As we started the workout (step) I felt the alcohol start to ooze from my pores. I was afraid this huge class of 100 could smell the distilled spirit funk that was permeating off my body. Did you know that your heart rate gets moving much faster when you went to bed rather tipsy at 2 am the night before? so much so that I noticed a girl with some kind of 'health care training' shirt on and was seriously hoping she knew CPR...I was goin down...I was sure of it.

Well, I officially made it through, although now I am sitting on the couch not able to move much more than my fingers to type this. After step, weights, and some kind of boxing class I am officially spent. But no longer hung over.

Want to see what I look like after drinking no less than 2 jager bombs paired with no less than 4ish vodka sprites and then falling asleep at 2ish, having a dream I was demoted and my boyfriend (what boyfriend?) broke up with me and then worked out for two hours? Behold...the hotness that is Megan with no makeup on.

oh, and I just remembered I got asked by the bar staff last night to stop dancing on top of a bar stool....because that seemed like such a good idea to me.....

Oh, and one more thing. I have a new love. Don't judge. I often like them a little rough around the edges. And FYI...the Velcro Pygmies rock. And I'm adding a video...and it's sideways...and I can't figure out how to change it....so there.
